Written for piano, soprano, tenor and narrator, is a dedication to one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Sedona is an infinite flow of inspiration and energy where love, life, sounds and colors form a perfect harmony.
A breezy afternoon, on the top of Bell Rock, I was listening to a light and soft wind when suddenly a melody danced in my ears. As I didn’t have either a pen or
music paper, my friend said to me to write it on the rock with a stone; which I did immediately being afraid that the notes would run away. I took a picture of it
and came back home, to the Village of Oak Creek, to write the beginning of the Hymn to Sedona.

Ce poème, dédié à la lettre Aleph, première lettre de l’alphabet hébraïque, est un cantique spirituel poétique. Une lettre muette qui sonne, danse, chante dans l’univers et au plus profond de l’âme. Elle est associée avec l’air et le vent. C’est la lettre de la vérité : Emet -vérité en hébreu qui commence par un Aleph L’écriture du mot Aleph אלף comporte trois lettres : Aleph א, Lamed ל et Phe ף. La lettre Lamed qui se trouve au milieu de l’alphabet a la valeur numérique de 30 et la lettre Phe de 80. L’addition de la valeur numérique dels trois lettres révèle le chiffre 111 - trois unités. Ce nombre est aussi la valeur numérique de l'expression "Eh'ad Hou Elokim": D… est Un.
